RESEARCH AND CONSULTING

 

Strategies for Healthy Youth Relationships is a consortium of researchers and professionals dedicated to promoting healthy adolescent relationships and reducing risk behaviours. We develop and evaluate programs, resources and training materials for educators and other front-line professionals who work with youth.

RCT EVALUATION OF CORE PROGRAM

The local Fourth R Project has completed its five-year randomized control trial (RCT; 2004-2009) to determine whether the curriculum taught in Grade 9 Health classes would reduce physical dating violence relative to standard Health classes two and half years later. CRITICAL MEDIA LITERACY

This project was supported with the assistance of a grant from the Ontario Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat. Through this project, a CD resource with sample lesson plans that integrate Ontario’s curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 12 has been developed .
